Walking through Merwood Park in Havertown, Pennsylvania, with her four-year-old granddaughter, Debi Mercuri took a copy of From Dude to Dad from a Little Free Library. Inside were two handwritten letters between a husband and wife, one signed with a nickname beside a doodled dog. She posted them on Facebook and Jennifer Cianciarulo recognized her own handwriting: she and her husband Dan had written the letters during their Catholic marriage-preparation course and accidentally donated the book while clearing out the basement. Mercuri arranged to hand them back.
