Reunited — it went back to its owner or their family.
Donation attendants at the Goodwill in Machesney Park, Illinois, noticed that a donated book had been hollowed out. Inside were uncirculated silver coins worth about $10,000.
The book came from the estate of a relative who had died, and the family had no idea what it held. Goodwill's finance director worked with the bank to trace them and returned the coins.
