Reunited — it went back to its owner or their family.
Cathy McAllister was volunteering for the VNSA book sale in Phoenix when she opened a donated history of the Roman Empire and found a hollow cut into the pages, holding $4,000 in hundred-dollar bills and a family letter.
The letter was enough to find the owner in about ten minutes. He came to collect the money with his adult daughter.
