Tucked inside Jack Frost and Other Stories
Reunited — it went back to its owner or their family.
In the summer of 1929 the American novelist Anne Parrish and her husband, Charles Albert Corliss, were browsing the bouquinistes along the Seine, between Notre-Dame and the Louvre. Parrish pointed out a worn copy of Jack Frost and Other Stories as the kind of book she had loved as a child. Her husband opened it and found, in faint pencil on the flyleaf, her own name and her childhood address in Colorado Springs. It was the very copy she had owned as a girl.
